At DJ4Life, we strive for simple, effective instruction. We offer one-on-one training in three different proficiency levels, including a hands-on opportunity to perform live. Classes can sometimes be moved to accommodate your schedule. Tell us what you need and we’ll do everything reasonably possible to accommodate you.

Here is some basic topics that all 3 levels will cover:

• Equipment overview: Detail explanation of Turntables, Mixer, CDJ's.

• Cueing: How to Perfect your Cueing Skills
• Beatmatching Vinyl and/or CD: How to Beatmatch in a professional environment
• Vinyl and CD control: Professional Control of Vinyl & CD
• Drop mixing: How to perform your first basic Mix.
• Performing your 1st mix: Mixing with two copies of same record
• Headphone Mixing: How to mix professionally with Headphones.
• Controlling the booth. How to use Booth Monitoring
• EQ Mixing: How to use EQ to enhance the smoothness of your mixes.
• Track selection: How to select the right music.
• Pitch control: How to effectively control the pitch/tempo.
• Performing your 1st DEMO mix: Select 30 min of your favorite music
and we'll record your mix
• Final preparation before you perform live mix in supperclub / san francisco for DJ_Test_Zone

• Level I: - Learn the basics, recommended for absolute beginners.

• Level II: Junior - If you have limited experience and need to improve your skils.

• Level III: Performing DJ-1 prep session, 2-3 performances: The ultimate in dee-jaying—and something you’ll get from no other DJ school! You’re takin’ it to the stage in three unique opportunities to showcase your DJ skills at a top SF venue.

• Level IV: An International DJ-this is the ultimate DJ level where you add an Int’l experience to your dj resume by having an opportunity through DJ4Life to play in world’s top clubs: Amsterdam, Istanbul, Rome, Singapore, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

• Music Production: Music producer-Go from zero experience to your first track with one of the best producers in SF Bay Area. Learn the industry standard Logic Pro, with one on one lessons. (coming soon, email for details)

Equipment and materials

At DJ4Life, starting out is simple: we provide all the equipment. The only thing you need to bring is your passion—and the music you are most interested in working with. Your instructors will then teach you how to mix your favorite tunes with the beats and flow needed to create an unforgettable evening or event.
